Frequently asked questions

Booking, pond problems, prices and how we work.

Booking and visits

How do I set up pond service?

Call 770-796-3616 or use the contact form with your town, the kind of feature (pond, koi pond, waterfall or fountain), and what is going on. Photos help. We call back to schedule.

What happens on the first visit?

We look at the water, the pump and filter, the waterfall and the edges, and ask about fish and recent changes. Then we explain what we found and the price for the work we recommend.

Do you work on ponds someone else built?

Yes. Most of our work is on existing ponds. Bring any manuals or model numbers you have.

Problems

My pond is losing water. What first?

Turn off the waterfall for a day. If the loss stops, the leak is likely in the stream or waterfall; if it continues, look at the pond itself. Our water-loss guide walks through it.

The fish are gasping at the surface.

That is an oxygen emergency. Add aeration now (an air pump or even a hose spraying the surface), stop feeding, and call us.

Is green water a problem?

Often it is a nutrient and sunlight balance, especially in spring. See why ponds turn green.

Prices and paperwork

How much does pond cleaning cost?

National published ranges put a deep clean-out at about $300–$1,200. Those are typical figures, not a quote; we price your pond after seeing it.

Will you do more than I approved?

No. If we find something else, we explain it and give you the price first.

Where does your advice come from?

Manufacturer instructions, extension-service publications, published cost data and what we see in North Georgia ponds.

Tips for any pond owner

  • Call Georgia 811 before any digging.
  • Ask any contractor for the scope and price in writing, including how fish will be protected during a clean-out.
  • Keep a simple log: water tests, top-offs, cleanings and fish losses. Patterns show up fast.
