Separate diagnosis, cleaning and repair
A cleanout, a leak investigation and a pump repair answer different needs. Ask each provider to state the purpose of the visit and what evidence supports the proposed work. If a problem has not been located, a diagnostic scope may be more appropriate than committing to liner replacement.
Account for the route to the pond
Explain gates, slopes, planted edges and steps between the driveway and feature. Ask whether handling removed debris and restoring disturbed areas are included. The same pond dimensions can involve a different scope when access changes.
Put fish and restart arrangements in writing
Where fish are present, ask the provider to describe protection arrangements and who handles the refill and restart. Confirm whether replacement equipment is separately quoted. A cleaning price should not be assumed to include every problem discovered during the visit.
Compare the handover
Ask for work notes, identified remaining issues and care instructions. Keep optional improvements separate from the work needed to resolve the original complaint. Discuss written warranty terms directly with us and clarify how additional work will be approved.
Discuss your water feature
Share your location, feature type and the problem. Confirm the assessment, price and availability with us.
